Porous Polymeric Surfaced MUGA is installed throughout the UK on multi use games areas for children and kids to play varied sports on. It is installed insitu on site with rubber crumb material and can be laid to any dimension, measurement, design and specification.

The polymeric sports surface is laid onto open textured granular sub base course, open textured macadam binder course which needs to be installed to the right tolerances for the rubber sports surfacing to be laid which is most common in red, blue or green colours.

EDPM rubber crumb is EPDM rubberised granules that is basically mistyped. The reason for this blog is because several well known architects in the UK have EDPM specified on projects and the real name for this type of rubber crumb material is ethylene propylene diene monomer.

The rubberised granules is used on site mixed with binder to create a wet pour safety surface which is tested to BSEN 1177 and tested to meet CFH critical fall height requirements for children and kids to play on the playgrounds and equipment.

SBR rubber chippings are usually installed beneath the wearing course which is also installed insitu on site and it is this base course layer that gives the impact absorbing cushioned layer that makes the surface be soft surfacing, bouncy flooring, spongy surfaces or also known as a rubber tarmac finish.

Leigh Legion Football Club should hold there heads high being beaten in the laithwaite shield 3-1 against premiership side Standish FC. The game was carried out on the eve of Monday 14th May at ashton athletic ground where both sides made the final an entertaining finale.

The game can only be described as a games of two halves where Leigh Legion FC started all guns blazing and completely dominated the first half with possession, chances and determination. The style of football this club carries out is a credit because they get the ball down and try to play the football and standish had no answers for their fast stylish football however managed to grab a late equaliser just before the break to take the game at half time to 1-1.

The late first half goal seemed to be crucial because the second half standish FC came out with similar grit to what legion did in the first half and with a slice of luck and fortune managed to early in the second half take the lead and from there it was always going to be a battle but proud and fighting Leigh Legion FC still fought to the 90th minute still playing the attractive football but the final finished 3-1 to standish FC who were gracious in victory and hats off to all the players for a thoroughly entertaining game of football.

Long Jump Pit Construction Athletics Track Costs are usually funded to many schools. The grants available are widespread within the UK as the IAAF and UK Athletics are trying to get the track and field athletics facilities across the United Kingdom in schools, leisure centres and sports clubs.

The long jump pit construction is usually infilled with a fine silica play sand between some rubber soft kerbing that is installed to the perimeter of the long jump runway sand pit. The athletics track runway for the long or triple jump is usually constructed the same way as an athletics track with a solid sub base to apply the polymeric sports surfacing onto otherwise known as a tartan surface, epdm surfacing or athletic track floor.

Long Jump Runway Landing Pit Prices

The costs can vary dependent on the dimensions, the sizes, specifications and design of the track runway and also the quote can vary in price dependent on whether there is other works to be done at the same time like a throwing circle for discus, hammer or shot put or even a high jump fan that might need constructing.

How to Design a Outdoor School Playground Surfaces Area can be done by the headteacher or even by the pupils. You have a selection of playground surfaces first and foremost you can choose from including wet pour safety surfacing, rubber mulch safety surfaces, grass mats, poured in place impact absorbing flooring and rubberised tiles.

Obviously the design and specification is the most important part of the project because influences the prices, costs and quotes of the completed works. The design of the playground equipment will influence the critical fall heights, depths of the safety surfaces and also the size of the free fall height needed for the children and kids to have a safe play area.

Play safe rubber epdm sbr wet pour playground safety surfacing flooring specification

The project management will also need to be considered in the design and specification because for play equipment in schools for the children then the lead time from the suppliers and manufacturers usually are 6-8 weeks before the installers can even start to complete the installation.

Lastly you will need to measure the play area length x width for the total size area which will then determine the budgets, funding and price of the project. The funding could be paid for by fundraising, grants or local businesses and should you need any help and assistance please call 01625 445760 or visit our site on http://www.softsurfaces.co.uk/

Nortex All Weather Surfacing Self Binding Gravel is what used to be installed on tennis courts, multi use games areas, sports pitches and athletics facilities but these are all quickly getting replaced with newer far superior sports surfaces like polymeric sports surfacing, synthetic astroturf surfaces, iaaf athletics flooring or 3G artificial grass.

Polymeric sports surfacing is known to many as tartan surfaces and these are an all weather surface ideal for long jump run ups, discus throwing circle, hammer throwing circle, athletics tracks and triple jump runways. They are a porous system that is poured in place and laid insitu on site. IAAF athletics flooring is usually non porous and installed to falls because the polyurethane binder is flooded across the area.

Synthetic turf pitch upgrade is usually able to be done with an insitu SBR rubber crumb shock pad, then artificial grass installed which could be sand filled, sand dressed or a 3G sports surface which is a rubber crumb infill sports grass. The costs and prices of these are usually worthwhile because when you account your budgets, grants and then revenue you can achieve it works out to be profitable to carry out.

The cheapest option is a black surface and many schools with low budgets, grants and funding take this option simply because the quote they receive fits their finance.

The rubber chippings are able to have wetpour inserts installed into the surface which are preformed and purchased from http://www.wetpourgraphics.co.uk/ who have a range of off the shelf graphics available like geometric shapes, hopscotches, animals, stars and logos.

EPDM wet pour rubber surfacing most common colours are red, blue and green however plenty of other are available such as yellow, purple, orange, eggshell, brown and biege. You can also mix a few together to create a blend which can have a nice affect to the eye and many look great like the fire blend, earth blend and flecked mix.

Moisture Cure Polyurethane Binders are used on polymeric surfaces and impact absorbing playground surfacing areas. The PU binders have been used for years as adhesives for varnishes, sealers and in the domestic market. It is a moisture curing adhesive that pulls liquids from the air with the humidity and hence the reason is has to be used in the correct weather conditions.

The water molecules from the atmosphere that gives the humidity is what makes the resin set and you on average have one hour playing time during installation to be able to work with the binder adhesive. Once the polyurethane moisture cure binder is let into the open then it quickly starts to cure and for it to be full cured takes approx 24-48 hours before people can walk on the area.

Moisture Cure Polyurethane Colour Coatings Anti Slip Paint Designs

The mix of the PU binder is done with rubber epdm chippings for the wetpour surface and SBR rubber crumb for the base layer wet pour safety surface. It is mixed in a continuous cretangle mixer on site and installed insitu which gives the benefit of being able to be laid to any depth, shape and size.

Costs, Prices, Quotes to repair wetpour rubber soft surfaces are dependent on the colour and also the depth of the existing safety surface. The play area usually needs repairing to the perimeter edge where a band repair is needed to be carried out due to the rubber epdm shrinking.

The costs and prices of the wet pour surfacing can be quoted in two ways – supply and install of the rubber repairs or supply only of wetpour repair kit DIY packs. The supply and installation of the surfacing is carried out by in house experienced installers while the supply of repair kits give a full instruction list of how to repair the area.

Rubber Wetpour Safety Surfacing Perimeter Band Repairs Cost suppliers

If the existing playground floor is badly damaged then a recap maybe needed over the whole area and this is definitely something we should carry out in house because is difficult to do over a large area. Should you want an overlay or recap of existing wetpour safety surfacing then please call 01625 445760 or visit http://www.softsurfaces.co.uk/
