External Surfacing Skid Resistant Scale Deceleration Testing
6 Mar 2019
External Surfacing Skid Resistant Scale Deceleration Testing measures the performance and safety of the sports surface whether this is a macadam type 1 MUGA or type 2 MUGA, polymeric type 3 MUGA or type 4 MUGA, synthetic turf type 5 MUGA or even any type of tennis court including colour coated surfacing.
The slip resistance tests measures the scale of impact a player has on the flooring without causing the children, kids or players to slip, fall and therefore hurt themselves on the areas. This test is very important because it is a duty of diligence to make sure the sports club, school or council who own the facility makes sure the safety requirements meet the standards in accordance with BS 7976 and flooring test standard to BSEN 13064-4.
The skid resistant deceleration reports and results measures the deceleration experienced from the players as it makes contact with the sports surfacing and if it is too high this can cause damage to joints and ligaments so quality control is needed to be monitored and conditioning tests are crucial because can make the client know whether the surface is in need of a maintenance visit which could be a deep clean of the playing area, rejuvenation or even resurfacing the existing recreational pitch.
The tests can be totally independent by testing bodies or can be carried out inhouse with onsite field tests made so therefore please call us on 01625 445760 to discuss whether you would like to arrange an insitu test or visit our website on https://www.softsurfaces.co.uk/blog/category/slip-resistance-tests for further details
