Wetpour or soft tarmac is a product used predominantly on areas that need protection to protect against critical fall heights from play equipment. This 2 part rubber safety floor is constructed by installing a base rubber (SBR) underneath a top recycled rubber crumb layer (EPDM) and both of these are bound with a PU polyurethane binder.
This bouncy rubber is then trowelled into the specified area and is ready to go after a curing period. We have installed this safety surface in areas like Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry and Bridgnorth and have excellent links with the county. The poured in place system is installed into areas such as play equipment areas, playgrounds, parks and pathways as it is porous, hard wearing and seamless.
It can be installed to different depths and generally, the thicker the product on the correct sub base, the higher the critical fall height protection.
