EPDM recycled rubber crumb is often turned into a soft safety floor in the UK and this is called Wetpour, soft tarmac or bouncy rubber. This safety system involves a base SBR rubber and a top EPDM rubber which is mixed with a PU Polyurethane binder and applied to the appropriate specified area.
This bouncy tarmac or poured in place system is often constructed with different sub bases ranging from bitmac, asphalt, no fines concrete and tar macadam and can more often than not, be constructed to suit any dimension size. This type of impact absorbing porous safety surface is perfect for areas like parks, play equipment areas, playgrounds and pathways. Many contractors explain the surfacing in the following ways : Your wheelchair ramp can benefit from porous rubber flooring!, Any playground can be transformed with flexible rubber flooring!, Make safe your play area with non slip rubber surfacing!, Modernise any school with seamless rubber flooring!, Your pool surround can be transformed with non slip rubber safety surfacing!, Any balcony can be transformed with flexible rubber safety surfacing!, Resurface any golf course with non slip rubber surfacing.
Soft Surfaces Ltd class the specification and construction of wet our safety surfacing as their core business and are one of a number of companies in the UK who deal with this system. Designs, specification, costs, prices and quotations are all part of our service, along with the maintenance of cleaning of the product.
