Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a MultiSport Long Jump Pit Installation in Coventry.

So for this job this school got in touch with us interested in us wanting a new long jump installed on their grass field. They were looking for a facility that was well suited to the outdoors, but that also offered brilliant playability for the sport.

We explained to the client the many benefits of multisport synthetic, which is the surface type we ended up fitting for this actual long jump. Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a MultiSport Long Jump Pit Installation in Preston.

This installation was carried out at a school, and they gave us a ring looking for a new long jump facility to be fitted alongside their existing sports pitch. We described the surface types we can offer, and shortly after we agreed that multisport would be perfect for them.

So the multisport synthetic surfacing we fit is an artificial flooring that is very well suited to long jump and triple jump use. We’ve been fitting multisport surfaces across the country for over 20 years now, and have seen a steady rise in it’s popularity during that time.

So for this installation, the client contacted us interested in a full long jump facility with a practice lane to be fitted onto their grass field. We explained the options that we offer them, and we were quickly on site working on the long jump facility.

Here at Soft Surfaces, we can build these sports facilities in many different surface types, however, for this work we opted for a Multisport surfacing for their long jump runway.

Multisport is a really excellent choice for outdoor sports surfacing such as these as it’s a hard-wearing surface making it ideal for regular outdoor use.

It’s also very well-suited to the outdoors as a result of its brilliant porous qualities, meaning water is actually absorbed by the flooring during our many rainy months.

There are many options available to you when choosing your ideal long jump facility, and arguably the most important is which company carries out the work.

So this work was carried out at a school, who got in contact with us wanting a new sports surface to replace their old worn-out facility.

Their old flooring had started to become dangerous, so the client’s biggest priority was the ensure their new flooring was extremely safe to use.

Additionally, the owner of the school wanted to have something with excellent playability characteristics for the sports of their choice, whilst able to be durable enough for our UK winters too.

So this work was installed at a nursery, which had an existing playground flooring that was beginning to wear and show signs of age.

They wanted to have new flooring installed, but weren’t sure whether a resurface was needed. They got in contact with us, and we explained what we could do for them.

So after assessing their existing surface, we determined that once their flooring was given a professional clean and contamination removal by our team, we were able to actually fit an overlay onto their surface without the need for resurfacing

This meant that the client’s play area surfacing could return to its best, and also gave them the freedom to choose new colours and a new design for their play area should they wish to.

The surface type we used for this job was wetpour floorings. This flooring type has many benefits, including the fact that it’s very safe for children to play on, and it’s porous, absorbing rainfall throughout the year.

This is because wetpour is made up of an EPDM rubber material, making it spongy and absorbent, ideal for outdoor play areas here in the United Kingdom.

So for this job we were emailed by the school that own this area, and wanted to create an outdoor playground that was safe for children to be using.

So this pre-school previously had a tiled flooring that you can see here, but wanted to have a new surface fitted than encouraged play, looked great and prioritised safety. We explained the wetpour surfacing we offer to them, and we were booked in right away.
