Soft Surfaces Ltd was approached two years ago with regards to a multi use games area that was constructed in macadam, as the school did not think this was the correct sports surface for their sporting needs which included football, tennis, netball and a general multitude of sports. However they also said that they used this area as their main playground so it was going to be heavily use and therefore we specified and designed within our quotation the MultiSport Synthetic Surfacing which is supplied by Playrite who are based in West Yorkshire and a specialist in manufacturing artificial sports surfaces.
Here is a video which shows the whole process from the existing tarmac playground, installation of the preformed shockpad, installation of the Playrite Needlepunch MUGA Surfacing product aka MultiSport Synthetic Surfacing which included the sand infill and cut in sports line marking :
The Needlepunch MUGA Surfacing Upgrade in London above video was carried out within the schools budget and delivered on time and they now have a strong, durable synthetic turf multi use games area that is ideal for the sports they wish to play. School MUGA all-weather pitches are great if you don’t have lots of space but you want to provide a range of sports for pupils.
