0:00 Hey, guys this is Dan from Soft Surfaces again here. In this video we’re going to be showing you a polymeric surface refurbishment in Haringey, London.
00:07 The first thing we do for this job is actually examine the previous surface. So we tend to do this in all of our installations just to make sure that it’s suitable for our actual surface we’re going to be installing. As you can see this is really in need of a refurbishment, this one.
00:18 Next up, the now polymeric surface is actually being fitted. So you can see us actually having the materials there on site ready to actually fit that onto the new surface. And [inaudible 00:00:26] is actually laid onto it so you can a very large surface like I previously said.
00:31 Next up, the structural polymeric spray is actually then applied, so this really gives it the cover it needs. This specific job was actually an Adidas-based job so you can see that from the logo there. So they actually wanted this surface installed with their branding on it, so we obviously then carried that out.

01:00 Finally now the completed project. So as you can see it from the photos, this looks absolutely brilliant when it’s installed. It really has transformed the surface massively. The Adidas branding on there looks absolutely fantastic and obviously with it being multi-use games area, you can play football, basketball, many different sports on there, kind of depending on the school’s preference really. So these are really great surface types for those looking to play multiple sports.

What is Polymeric MUGA
A Polymeric MUGA is a rubber surface which is very similar to wetpour but has been adapted to be used as a all weather sports surface.
The rubber is usually thinner and has a firmer underfoot and coated with an anti slip coating which makes it a lot safer for a variety of sports. The surface porous which allows the water to drain through, ensuring this surface can be used all year round.
It is possible to get creative with a Polymeric MUGA as the anti slip coating is available in a variety of colours including red, green or blue just to name a few. We also offer line markings for a variety of sports including football, basketball and netball.
