Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a Colourful Rubber Playground Flooring in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
We were initially contacted by the owner of this school who were looking for a large playground surfacing to be fitted. They told us they’d like something bespoke to their design to help the surface to stand out, but that also kept the safety of the children as a priority.
We showed them some examples of the work we could carry out for them, as well as the surface options we could provide, and before long we were at the school installing the job.
So in terms of the surface type we opted for, it was mutually agreed that wetpour surfacing would be the best option for the school. Wetpour is a flooring type made up of EPDM rubber, and it very popular nationwide for the following reasons.
Firstly, as wetpour is made up of rubber, it’s spongy qualities absorbs trips and falls brilliantly, and matches the critical fall height standards needed for playground safety here in the UK.
Falls and trips aren’t the only thing wetpour absorbs well either, as due to it’s rubberised qualities this flooring is actually porous, soaking up rain throughout the year to significantly reduce flood risks.
And finally, wetpour can be customised right down to the finest detail. Clients who have this surface type fitted with us can choose from a huge range of colour options, and can even have custom graphics fitted flush to the surface to help with education!
