Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you an EPDM Rubber Wetpour Flooring in Newcastle.

So this client were looking to build a new outdoor play area, and wanted to ensure that the surface they had fitted was perfect for the outdoor and prioritised the safety of those using it. We discussed the best options with them, and soon after we were on site getting to work.

The flooring we ended up agreeing on installing for this job was wetpour, a rubber surface that’s very popular throughout the United Kingdom. We’ve been fitting this flooring across the country for over 2 decades, and are proud to be industry leaders in the field.

Black Rubber Crumb Top up for Artificial Pitch

A synthetic turf sports surface is made up of plastic grass fibres along with an infill. The infill consists of either just sand or a combination of sand and black rubber crumb particles. This rubber infill on 3G sports pitches is very important as it helps to hold up the artificial grass fibres to keep them upright. It also gives the pitch the playing characteristics of natural grass.

If a 3G turf pitch is not maintained properly, over time the rubber crumb infill particles will start to compact and stick together deep into the turf fibres. This can lead to poor drainage as the compacted black rubber crumb blocks up the porous membrane of the surface and causes water to build upon the pitch. Golborne Sports Surface Deep Clean If there is water building up on the surface this can make the pitch less safe and also have a negative effect on the performance characteristics. Therefore it is important to keep your sports surface well maintained. You should do this to keep on top of the surface and prevent any major issues. Carrying out proactive work can reduce the need for costly repairs over time. It may require sports pitch rejuvenation if the surfacing becomes clogged up with dirt.

Maintenance and Infill Top Up

If you set up an appropriate maintenance plan for your rubber infilled sports pitch and regularly drag brush it to bring up the black rubber crumb particles, you will be able to maximise the durability and longevity of your artificial sports facility. However, over a long period of time, the turf fibres become weathered and worn out. When this happens it may be necessary to replace the rubber infill completely. This is because poor infill levels can have a negative effect on performance characteristics. It will also affect the water drainage of the pitch and potentially cause flooding. It is generally a good idea to top up the infill of your sports pitch every 1-2 years. This will ensure that you maximise the life expectancy of your facility and keep it in the best condition possible.

So we carried out this work at a school, and they initially got in touch with us interested in a new safety surface for their area. We explained exactly what it was that we could do for them, and shortly after we were on site installing.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a School Playground Design and Install in Manchester.

So received a call from this client enquiring about having a large outdoor safety surface for their play area. They wanted to ensure they could put their own spin on the surface itself, with the ability to specify different colours and graphics for the flooring. We explained what we could offer them, and were quickly on site getting to work.

So the flooring option we ended up agreeing with the client to install was wetpour surfacing, which is the surface we most regularly install for playgrounds here at Soft Surfaces. Wetpour is made up of a spongy rubber material, and because of this it absorbs falls fantastically and meets the critical fall height standards needed for play areas.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a rubber wetpour & artificial grass installation in Coventry.

So this client wanted to have a new safety surface installed for their small playground, but also wanted the surrounding areas to look natural without the need for any traditional maintenance. We explained the services we could offer for them, and they got us booked in to install the surfaces.

So in terms of the playground surface we fitted for this job we went for wetpour, which is a surface made up of EPDM rubber. This is the most popular flooring we fit for play areas, and is an extremely safe option, meeting the critical fall height requirements due to its spongy rubber qualities.

Another big advantage of wetpour is simply how customisable this option is. You can have rubber wetpour fitted in practically and colour and design you like, and you can even have custom graphics fitted, from road markings like on this job to educational markings, animals and more, this is completely up to you.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a Rubber Playground and Artificial Grass Surfacing in Middlesborough, Yorkshire.

So our team were contacted by this company who were looking to have surfacing fitted that was ideal for their outdoor space.

They explained specifically that they were keen on having a new flooring for their outdoor play area, as well as artificial grass fitted to give the appearance of a natural look. We broke down the options we could provide, and were on site installing soon after.

So for the playground flooring we fitted, we opted to go for a EPDM rubber wetpour surface. This flooring type is absolutely perfect for outdoor play areas, as its spongy rubber qualities actually soak up the rain making it a porous system.

00:05 Hi, guys. It’s Dan from Soft Surfaces here, and on this video we’ll be showing you a wetpour installation in Kendray, Barnsley. So, as you can see from these photos here that the first thing we did was actually remove the previous surface. You see that it’s actually stripped back here, and they’re actually having this wetpour installed around this benched area, which is great actually because they wanted something safer. Obviously, wetpour was a great option for them to go to for that.

00:28 Moving onto this video here, you can actually see us starting to prepare the wetpour, ready to be installed onto the surface itself. Wetpour’s available in many different colors and specifications. It’s a very customisable service too. With that being said, you can actually see us installing that there. So, the black base is now down, and we’re actually installing the blue areas around the surroundings, and then obviously on top of the black base we can actually add a different color on to there in a sec as well.

00:53 So now, guys, for the completed project. As I said, the new wetpour color is actually installed onto the black surface now. You can see it’s a bright yellow with that blue around the edges, and looks really, really great and it’s completely transformed their surface, whilst obviously adding a lot of safety to the surface. And, you know, keeping the peace of mind for the people who are using that facility day-to-day.
